Temporary Shoring.  It's just about everywhere in California.  Same template.  We park down under the structure, two, three, four or five stories down.  We pour a mat/raft slab or spread footings at the bottom.  Shotcrete or pumped-in-place walls.  A podium deck at grade.  We build up with mixed living; residential and retail.  Maybe three....maybe 19 stories up.  Most of these holes (not all), are more along the lines of "Damp-Proofing".  Not so much underground "water table" as from the top and sides; rain and run-off.  I'm in my 19th year of attempting to "remove the traditional waterproofing membranes".  You know them by Preprufe, Tremproof, Voltex.  To date, we've mostly used "crystalline growth" technology in the concrete.  End of the day, 30% - 50% less permeable concrete.  Today, we have a brand new, powerful tool - CHEM CONCRETE HYBRID ADMIXTURE.  97% less permeable.  Less Shrinkage.  Corrosion Resistant.  A lot, lot better tool for making concrete INTEGRALLY "Water Proof".  We still prescribe all the serious "joint water proofing" items; pvc dumb-bells, synthetic swellstops, etc.  All the premium stuff you always wanted to use....but couldn't afford because the bentonite panels you were hanging were too expensive.  

At best, traditional Blind-Side Waterproofing was 50-50.  And after your concrete and steel packages....EXPENSIVE.  Here's another route ~ Chem Concrete Hybrid admix in your concrete (costs about the same as "Crystalline Growth"), and I'll help design, install, and provide the quality assurance for all the areas there is no concrete; joints, cracks, penetrations and all the ancillary waterproofing details.   And then I'll step in front of it all ~ Five Years.  It leaks....I'll come in with factory trained injection specialists and fix all your leaks!  With Chem Concrete Hybrid admix, I can stop serious hydro-static pressures.  Damp-Proofing, walk in the park.  I've learned from all the mistakes the last 19 years up and down the state.  I can do it right.  Let me show you....
